Events - Conferences and Incentives

Te Puia offers an exciting range of conference and incentive events. You can choose from an existing programme or we can design a package that specifically meets your needs. To book a programme or design a package that specifically meet your needs please contact us directly. Events in our existing programme include:

A Traditional Māori Welcome

Be thrilled by the challenge of Māori warriors or the spine-tingling cry of our women as we welcome you to Te Puia in our powerful and time-honoured way. The pōwhiri (traditional welcome) is offered to your guests as an exciting start to your visit with us.

Īngō - Beer, Bubbles and Mussels

Īngō is a unique and remarkable taste of Te Puia and Māori culture. Fresh New Zealand green-shelled mussels are poached in one of our hot geothermal pools (Ngāraratuatara) and are accompanied by New Zealand beer or sparkling wine.

Rāukura

Rāukura is our premier package for those who want an exclusive and in-depth cultural encounter. You will be personally guided through Te Puia, including the Whakarewarewa valley. You will hear the stories of our people, our culture and our place and enjoy the unique flavours of Māori cuisine. Highlights include a personalised guided tour, a nature walk, cooking in a geothermal cooking pool, a traditional Māori lunch, a cultural performance as well as hands-on activities tailored to your interests.

Pohutu by Night

Dine underneath the stars, deep in the heart of Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, with Pohutu geyser illuminated as a natural and spectacular backdrop. Enjoy an intimate and awe-inspiring encounter with our unique environment and with the people and stories of this land.
