Tailored Guided Tour

Objectives
Participants of the Tailored Guided Tour select their own objectives. The workshop, therefore, will focus on specific areas of chosen interest.
It can be an in depth and well-paced tour of 90 minutes covering the entire complex or it can specialise in particular subjects.
“Our classroom for this is 56 square kilometres,” says teacher Faith Maika.
This workshop is especially useful to researchers or people considering a career in the tourism and marketing industry.
“We get right into the mechanics of how tours operate, what training is needed, who would best suit this career,” says Faith.
“Or it can tailor to those who just want to know more. It is a chance to ask all the questions you want in front of the places and faces you want to know about.”
Learning activities
Learning activities are based around the chosen objectives of the tour.
Participants may receive hands-on tutoring from experts of their craft. Optional extras like the daily cultural performances or Cooking in the Ngawha can also be added to the tour to provide a personal and tailored experience.
“Sometimes visitors become enthralled by a particular subject and could easily spend days wanting to learn more,” says Faith.
“Other times it’s the people that capture their full attention. Personalities just seem to click.”
It also caters for all ethnic groups and religious denominations.
“We respect all beliefs and work to ensure there is something here for everyone,” says Faith.
