Māori Language Week 2009

Since 1975 New Zealand has celebrated Māori Langauge Week. This is an opportunity for all New Zealanders to increase their Māori Language vocabulary and appreciate one of its county’s official languages.

In 2009 Māori Language Week will be 27 July – 2 August and the theme is 'Te Reo i te Hapori – Maori Language in the Community'.
