The New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute (Te Puia) is committed to ensuring the privacy of individual information. This information can be personally identifiable information or aggregated information. This Privacy Policy (Policy) tells you about the collection, use, disclosure, security and accessibility of information.

Collection of Information

Te Puia operates the website and collects information about online customers and other website users including:

  1. Personal information provided voluntarily through e-mail reservations, website reservations and sales, telephone, fax, application forms, questionnaires, competitions, customer feedback forms, correspondence or contact in person.
  2. Aggregated data which includes measuring traffic, referring sites, origin of users and traffic patterns to our websites. This information does not identify you personally and is not linked to the personally identifiable information that you may have provided.

Google Analytics Display Features & Google Remarketing

The Te Puia website uses Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting the Google Ads remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example haven’t made a booking. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the Google Analyitcs of DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Te Puia website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.
